Art Exhibition and Open Studios set to showcase over 40 artists

Severn Arts, now in its 8th year, will be welcoming 40 talented creatives to this year’s trail, which is back on 7th – 17th September 2023. Footprint Gallery in Jackfield, which is at the heart of the trail, will be home to an exciting range of local artists and craftspeople throughout the event. This contemporary arts space has recently undergone a renovation and is hosting its inaugural Printmaker’s Fair this weekend (28th – 30th July).

The Gallery is located in the heart of historic Jackfield, famously home to Jackfield Tile Museum which will also be open throughout for visitors to learn how natural resources met amazing skills, artistry and craft in a 19th century creative hub. The on-site café will be open from 10am – 4pm daily, serving great coffee, teas, soft drinks, fresh cakes, sandwiches and hot food.

The resident artists in this purpose-built arts centre include Jan Park (paintings and textiles), Rod Sheppard (printmaker), Cat Noble (multi-media artist), Sue Chadwick (jewellery designer) and Dylan Hartley (woodwork).

Other studios in the Jackfield, Ironbridge and Broseley will be throwing open their doors for the duration of the trail, giving visitors a chance to meet the artists and discover their work first-hand.

Amongst these will be more painters, illustrators, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, potters and jewellery designers. The full list of featured artists is available on the Severn Art website – www.severnart.co.uk.

The event is welcoming everyone to come and enjoy the talented artists of Shropshire; supporting them by browsing and purchasing their work to take home.

More details about the trail will be released on the website and via social media (details below).
