ILLUSTRATOR & PRINTMAKER I trained as a graphic designer at Lincoln College of Art, and have worked for many years as a graphic designer and illustrator primarily in greetings, publishing and packaging for clients around the world. Recently, I have used lino printing as a medium in my work on heritage and specialist projects for clients such as The Canal & River Trust and Middleport Pottery. This interest has led me to produce limited edition linoprints inspired by the landscape and heritage around me – from the Ironbridge Gorge to the Stiperstones and beyond. I also enjoy sharing the skill of printmaking and hold monthlyRead More →

I am inspired and influenced by organic shapes and the beautiful Shropshire countryside. I am a printmaker and ceramicist. I work in paperclay, mainly porcelain but also chocolate clay. The strength of paperclay gives me the opportunity to hand build my vessels with a sense of the fragility of a flower or a leaf. I mainly leave the beauty of the fired clay in the final vessel, but a few are glazed, smoked or occasionally have the addition of kintsugi – an ancient Japanese method which uses gold as an enhancement. This year I will also be exhibiting some of my paintings. Mobile 07758363189 EmailRead More →

I just love paint. And I love to travel. And to teach other people to paint. That’s it really. In recent years I have studied with master painters from Italy and the USA, all the time searching for traditional skills and methods which can be applied to paintings of a modern world. I give workshops and classes on various aspects of drawing and painting and also painting holidays for those who want to work outside the studio. I have always been a painter, I graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art Painting and later studied for a teaching certificate specialising in post 16 education. Coming from a fashion and textiles background I love colour and pattern. Cutting lino, building up layers, seeing what is evolving, it’s mostly planned, but with some lovely surprises along the way.   I moved to Madeley 20 Years ago and was immediately struck by the wealth of living history all around us. The gorge is full of fascinating glimpses of our industrial heritage which is the main focus of my work. I love wandering around the local Museums and trying to capture a glimpse of a world that is rapidly disappearing.   I mainly work in monotones ink with a traditional dip pen or graphite with the occasional dabble into livelier coloured acrylics. I have had work displayed at Weston Park Gallery, Bear steps Gallery Shrewsbury, and locally and I split my time between trying to captureRead More →
