Jo Clarke and Angie Silkstone are collaborative textile artists living and working in Ironbridge Gorge we have been working together since 2014 when we discovered our individual interests came together to produce something mutually satisfying. Our different approaches, on the one hand freeform and big picture, and on the other perfectionism and precision, enabled something we wanted to explore.

Currently we are producing larger scale wall hangings in applique and and handstitching which can be viewed in local cafe, Eighty Six’d where we have held a successful exhibition. We also like to work in paper collage and have submitted a piece to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust’s community art competition.
We depict largely local scenes as we are inspired by the heritage and natural beauty around us. We have been influenced by the bright poster colours of Toulouse L’Autrec and the organic forms of Van Gogh.
Wall hangings are 150cm x 170cm at their largest. The smallest collage is A3 and the smallest textile pieces are approximately 21cm in diameter.
To reflect the amount of work that goes into these pieces our prices range from £30.00 for a small piece to £450.00 for the largest. Unframed prints from £25.
