I just love paint. And I love to travel. And to teach other people to paint. That’s it really. In recent years I have studied with master painters from Italy and the USA, all the time searching for traditional skills and methods which can be applied to paintings of a modern world. I give workshops and classes on various aspects of drawing and painting and also painting holidays for those who want to work outside the studio. I have always been a painter, I graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art Painting and later studied for a teaching certificate specialising in post 16 education. My name is Maisie, I am 24 and I’m an illustrator. I am passionate about creating imagery based on the small and simple things in life such as growing plants, botanics, wildlife and getting lost outdoors. I also have two cockapoo puppies called Chester and Oscar who keep me company at home while I draw away. I studied illustration at the Arts University in Bournemouth and since graduating I have created work using a combination of hand drawn and digital skills however I have focused my practice more recently on hand carving my designs onto Lino and printing them to make unique and one offRead More →

Hours spent drawing as a kid gave way to a career in fashion. Opening a boutique in Holmfirth in 1972, followed by Pink Cadillac in Altrincham and Huddersfield, led to a long involvement in the fashion industry where Penny was widely respected for her designs and retail flair. The story comes full circle in early 2014 when she found time to return to her love of art. Penny’s work ranges from pop art developed on an iPad to her current medium of acrylic on canvas. The present focus is figurative, often depicting girls experiencing life, but that may change..… One of Penny’s paintings (Jess – acrylic on canvas)Read More →

2018 series || U N T I T L E D ||  mixed media on board Painting and drawing onto MDF, glass, metal and other found objects allows the materials to behave in a variety of ways. Applying paint, scratching away, adding more and removing some, creates a repetitive, cathartic process until a balanced outcome is achieved. Much like the physical process of the installations (which can be seen on the website) the work is documented throughout using photography. In addition to visual elements, text is used in response to a variety of subjects. Some refers to a found diary from childhood, as does the naivety of repeated shapes. www.charlottebillingham.co.uk Instagram: @charlottebillingham.art Contact via website  Read More →

I am a Shropshire born and bred contemporary abstract artist working mainly in acrylic and oil pastels. I use a process of building up and scraping back layers of paint and mixed media. Having left full time employment behind, I now have more time to dedicate to my love of painting exploring the balance of colours and textures. I’ve been painting, on and off, for over 40 years. I like to describe myself as an eclectic artist, as I am constantly experimenting with new techniques, styles and media. However, one enduring theme of much of my work has been the built and natural environment of the Ironbridge Gorge and the surrounding area, and I have several works o this theme. Prices of my work vary from £35 – £200 Acrylic, Oils and Watercolour impressionist, abstract or sometimes a little surreal.   https://ironbridgesteve.wixsite.com/stevevaughanartwork https://www.facebook.com/SteveVaughanArtwork/ Dale End Park Heart of the forrest. I have always enjoyed painting and have now also taken up sculpting in clay which i find both exciting and relaxing! My work is usually based on wildlife which is very dear to my heart and never ceases to give me such pleasure to see. I hope i capture some of this in both my 2D and 3D work. I have also recently started paint dancers in acrylics and watercolour – trying to show their  grace and movement . lindleyfallon@gmail.com  Read More →
