We are collaborative textile artists living and working in Ironbridge Gorge we have been working together since 2014 when we discovered our individual interests came together to produce something mutually satisfying. Our different approaches, on the one hand freeform and big picture, and on the other perfectionism and precision, enabled something we wanted to explore. Currently we are producing larger scale wall hangings in applique and and handstitching which can be viewed in local cafe, Eighty Six’d where we have held a successful exhibition. I grew up in Shropshire and graduated with a Fine Art Degree from Liverpool John Moores University in 1995. I have worked as an arts facilitator since 1996, project managing and delivering participatory arts projects for children and adults and I currently work in partnership with local artist Natalie Toplass under the company name of Octopus Arts Shropshire.
